As you might expect, here at KIDS HOPE USA we see many notes and letters from believers. Working with hundreds of churches nationwide mobilizing thousands of mentors and prayer partners, you’d expect to hear from a believer or two. But that’s not what I mean.
We receive a remarkable number of messages from school personnel asking churches to consider a Kids Hope USA partnership for their school. Simply put, these are letters from schools who believe what their children need is the love a local church can offer. Let me highlight just few recent ones from the great state of Texas:
This partnership helps to form a bond between the church and its community by organizing, training and encouraging its members to be mentors and prayer partners for children. While we have over 50 elementary schools in our district, only three of them currently have KIDS HOPE USA programs. This means there are a large number of children in our district who are in need of extra people to show them that someone believes in them and will be there to help them when they face challenges. KHUSA provides these children with a one-on-one mentoring relationship that can make a difference in their lives both emotionally and academically.

Kids Hope is in 18 of our elementary schools and we look forward to the program expanding. An hour each week spent with a child is priceless and truly changes lives.

Our community’s future depends on the preparation of our school children to take their places as productive citizens. Our teachers and support staff are working hard to make this happen, but we need your help! I urge you to consider joining us in this effort.

Simple letters, overflowing with words of belief from schools…
We believe your church is what we need.
We believe your church can change lives.
We believe your church has the love, hope, and care at-risk children desperately need to thrive.
Perhaps its the public school that will help teach the church to believe in itself. Makes me a believer.
