This last week alone, Kids Hope USA Director Trainings took place in Colorado, Chicago, and Dallas. When fully developed, the churches training this week will mentor over 800 at-risk children.
Children like Fernanda. Fernanda’s life was being written, and the ending was looking predictably grim, with little hope for a positive future. But as you can see from her own words, thanks to a “hopeful” mentor a new story is being written.
But how did this happen? How did a simple ministry based in West Michigan become one, training and supporting churches all over the country?
The answer is actually quite simple. Kids Hope USA Directors, pastors, mentors and prayer partners didn’t keep the excitement of what was happening in their lives and churches to themselves.
They talked. They talked a lot. They shared about their experiences. We call these people Ambassadors.
They are folks:
- Excited to grow the movement of connecting churches and schools through KIDS HOPE USA.
- Concerned about the needs of at-risk children in their community.
- Committed to communicating the vision of KIDS HOPE USA to area churches and schools.
Are you? Are you willing, for the sake of that child in your community without hope, to share about your experience with Kids Hope USA with others you know? With a pastor, a principal, a friend or family member?
You can be the reason the “Fernandas” of the world have a new story to write.
