As the school year wraps up and students are counting the minutes until summer break, we want to take a minute to celebrate YOU!
Completing another year of mentoring is no small feat. Thousands of volunteers have met with students weekly across the country, resulting in over 300,00 hours spent mentoring students each school year.
Let’s reflect on the previous school year and all the reasons we appreciate our community!
The Heart of the Mission – Our Community
Our mission continues to move forward because of people who show up consistently. These individuals are our pastors, directors, mentors, donors, prayer partners, and all those who share about Kids Hope USA mentoring within their circles.
The one-on-one mentoring relationship is only possible because of the way that these individuals choose to invest in this mission.

Mentors, we recognize that you have committed one hour of your time each week over the past school year. What an incredible investment in the lives of young people in your area. You have been consistent, safe, encouraging, and have built trust with your student by showing up, listening, and learning from them.

Directors, you are the glue that holds this mission together! The way that you lead your volunteer mentors, coordinate plans and activities for your program, care for the school that you serve in, and much more, shows your heart for the next generation. Prayer partners; you are an asset to this organization. You set us apart! Kids Hope USA has a unique model – thousands of people are praying over the mentoring relationships taking place. This quiet, yet meaningful role requires faithfulness and consistent prayer. The unseen impact on students’ lives is so crucial. You are interceding on their behalf through prayer and alone time with the Lord.
While mentors give their time, directors their talents, and donors their treasure, our prayer partners give something just as powerful: their trust in God to move in ways we may never fully see.

Looking Ahead with Hope
As rewarding as it is to have completed an entire school year of mentoring, it’s also exciting to think ahead for next year.
How can you prepare well for next school year? Can you connect with an old friend and talk to them about becoming a mentor with you in the fall? If you meet someone new in the lobby at church, are you able to bring up Kids Hope USA during your conversation?
The need for mentors is a continuous need, with over 700 students on a waitlist this year. There is always an opportunity to make an impact!
