Thanksgiving Snack Craft

Supplies: Bugle corn snacks, vanilla frosting, fruit-flavored rice cereal, and craft sticks

Directions: Let the children use craft sticks to spread the frosting inside the bugles. Next, sprinkle the cereal inside.

Discussion: Teach the children about cornucopias, or horns of plenty. Ask the children to share reasons that they are thankful. As you share why you are thankful, be sure to say your child’s name!

  1. HI Brooke,

We did this and it was such a hit! Some kid mentor teams were one on one, while others overlapped and sometimes we had a small group or a big group, all making a laughing thankful mess at the same time!

They loved it..it was food.sweet food 🙂 but they also enjoyed thinking of things they were thankful for and we wrote them all down as part of our “Cornucopia Project”.

The mentors enjoyed it as well, and most of them for the first time found out what a cornucopia really is!!

    thank you Brooke!
