During Advent, our minister has given the above title to his sermon series. He reminded us again this morning that Jesus has already come and has promised to come again, but in the meantime He is available in our lives TODAY!
Much like Jesus, our KHUSA children need to know that we are available to them today. I met a visitor at church Sunday who is starting a ministry that will match returning veterans suffering from Post Traumatic Stress Syndrome with a specially trained dog that is trained to sense their emotional needs and help diffuse their stress. The goal is to avoid another generation of stressed out veterans like those who returned from Vietnam and were never able to readopt a normal lifestyle. Jesus continues to be at work in so many areas of our world and we express our gratitude that He has included each of us in His tender outreach to humanity.
