On a 11 X8 sheet of white paper write the words, “Math About Me!” Then help your child brainstorm examples of personal facts that can be related to math, such as:
birthdate
height
weight
age
grade
address
number of family members
shoe size
daily living facts- wake up times, number of tvs in house, rooms in your home
Students write one or two of these facts about themselves on an index card and clue them on the Math About Me sheet to create a fun poster.
This project will help demonstrate how most of their life is related to math.
