Don’t Break the Chain is a great game that challenges the memory and gets you moving! Imagine my surprise when I found it in a Hallmark store! Hallmark stores across the country will be selling it this spring for $12.99. To play, the first player pics a card (“link”) and follows the instruction. For example, a card may say “Wag your tail”, so the player must recite that and wag their tail. The second player then picks a new card, recites and performs everyone’s “links” and then adds their new one. You are out if you “break the chain” by forgetting something. I love this game because MEMORY skills are essential to learning and this is a fun way to develop these skills. It is also sure to bring about giggles as you perform tasks like wink at someone, hop on one foot four times, or say “Yippee-ki-aye-little doggies!” All that AND it fits easily in to a mentor’s bag! What more could you ask for? Learning can be fun and spending time together with a special friend is priceless! ENJOY!
